...Matriarchs Arise (MA) has been serving the Seasoned Women of South Florida since 2018 and has continued to evolve, grow, and expand to additional states. MA started as a small nucleus of women that provided weekly support to each other spiritually, emotionally, physically, and financially. Over the years, MA has respected the dignity of each member and provided a safe place of hope and rest for its community. MA desires to continue to support and strengthen seasoned women over sixty by proactively protecting it's members from those that prey on the elderly.

A matriarch is a powerful and usually older woman in charge of a family, or the female leader of a society in which women hold power according to the Cambridge English Dictionary. Does that mean we are against men, God forbid. Ninety percent of our matriarchs were at one time married. However, life happened; husbands’ transitioned, divorce occurred, and hard decisions were made.
Our population consists of widows, those who never married, and some who have chosen to live alone. One thing they all have in common is their desire to walk through this new chapter of life expecting the great, living life to the fullness, and reaching our God given potential.
Churches and society seem to cater to various obvious groups such as Singles, Married, Youth, Mothers board, etc... you get the picture. Somehow the Matriarchs find themselves falling between the crevices searching for a place to land. Too mature for immature relationship games and too full of life to hide in a closet. We enjoy being grandmothers more than parents (don't tell our adult children). This type of fellowship gives us the opportunity to reach back and spring forward into new ventures. Fellowship with women who understand your journey and will not judge you for the path you took. We understand what endured and how you had to lean on God to make the way where there were no way.
In one phrase, you get out what you put in. We have various services which we offer free of charge, but your participation is needed to receive full benefits. Your fellowship is voluntary, and you are not locked into a contract. We have many programs that cater to our age group, and we attempt to keep each member informed of the many advantages. We are women who have been saved by grace, through faith, not of yourself unless we boast Ephesians 2:8-9 (King James Version).
You can expect to:
1. Laugh at yourself and each other
2. Expect to be among faith believers who love being in the service of God and is striving to be a blessing to others until the whole world has been blessed.
3. Expect to be in a safe gossip-free zone.
We understand that according to, Proverbs 6:16-19 (New King James Version)
16 These six things the Lord hates, yes, seven are an abomination to Him: 17 A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, 18 A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, 19 A false witness who tells lies, And one who sows discord among brethren.
We sing together, pray together, cry together, praise God together and most of all learn to love one another together.
